Critical to any kind of retrofit project is the impact the process will have on a building’s occupants. The advantages of on-site processing are many, with careful consideration given to minimize disruption to tenants and to day-to-day building operations.
The removal and re-installation of glass will occur during evening hours to avoid any disruption to building tenants and occupants. We will also install our QuietRock® soundproof drywall in the dedicated processing space to protect neighboring tenants from noise during construction.
By reusing existing glass and processing the new super-insulating glass units on-site, the process eliminates virtually all waste, saves energy, and reduces replacement costs. By innovating a sustainable processing solution, we are completing avoiding wasted energy and costs in transportation, shipping, and production associated with the traditional alternative of discarding the old glass and installing new replacement glass.
